In this role, I engage directly with customers by combining my styling expertise, product knowledge, and strong interpersonal communication skills. This position has expanded my skill set further to include social media content creation and visual merchandising, contributing to both the brand’s digital presence and in-store experience.
The Role:
Beyond delivering personalized customer experiences through service and styling, a key responsibility in this role is managing the visual merchandising of the boutique’s sales floor. In a high-foot-traffic area like Carytown, our window displays serve as a crucial form of advertising. Our windows displays are designed to attract and engage shoppers passing by and convert them into walk-in customers. My approach to visual merchandising at Lex’s is both creative and strategic, with a focus on seasonal themes, curated color palettes, promotional features, and showcasing new arrivals to keep the storefront fresh, inviting, and aligned with the brands image and tone.
Visual Merchandising
In the same sphere of visual merchandising, I contribute to the social media production for Lex’s of Carytown, specifically on Instagram and TikTok. I analyze current trends, seasonal relevance, and key products that align with our brand identity to focus on items that not only reflect our aesthetic but also drive customer engagement and differentiate us from competitors. Once those strategic decisions are made, I shift into the creative process of developing engaging, on-brand content. I truly enjoy tasks/roles where I can blend both my analytical thinking skills with creative innovation!
